1. Acceptance
By using gigprompter.com, submitting a contact form, downloading the application, or using gigPrompter, you agree to these terms and any additional distribution or license terms presented with the application. If you do not agree, do not use the website or application.
“gigPrompter,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of gigprompter.com and the gigPrompter product.
2. Permitted website use
You may use the public website for lawful evaluation, support, press, and business purposes. You may not:
- interfere with the website, server, security controls, or availability;
- attempt unauthorized access to protected systems or data;
- submit malicious code, automated spam, deceptive inquiries, or unlawful content;
- scrape, copy, or republish substantial website content in a way that infringes rights or misrepresents the source;
- use the contact workflow to transmit passwords, payment-card information, confidential credentials, or content you are not authorized to share.
3. Application license and distribution terms
The application license is personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and subject to applicable distribution terms and any end-user license agreement presented with the product.
You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense, or create an unauthorized derivative of the application except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
4. User content and local files
You retain responsibility for song files, lyrics, charts, cues, notes, setlists, and other content you place in the application. The app stores that content locally and does not claim ownership of it.
You are responsible for the content you place in the application and for any backup practices appropriate to your own song library. Automated conversion, optical character recognition, PDF extraction, chord detection, transposition, formatting, and timing are software-assisted processes and may not reproduce every source document identically.
5. Copyright, licensing, and music rights
gigPrompter is a tool for organizing and displaying content supplied by the user. It does not grant rights to copyrighted songs, lyrics, chord charts, arrangements, recordings, or other third-party material.
You are responsible for obtaining any permissions or licenses required to copy, import, edit, display, perform, distribute, or share content. Do not submit copyrighted song files to support unless you have the legal right to share them for that purpose.
6. Product information
Product descriptions, compatibility information, subscription terms, and distribution terms may be updated from time to time. The terms presented through the product’s authorized distribution channel control current purchase and subscription terms.
For live performance, users are responsible for choosing compatible devices, mounts, adapters, displays, AirPlay receivers, networks, and pedal configurations appropriate for their setup.
7. Third-party platforms, hardware, and services
The application and website may rely on or interact with third-party platforms and hardware, including Apple devices, iOS/iPadOS, Apple distribution and payment services, Files, PDF frameworks, Vision OCR, adapters, displays, networks, AirPlay receivers, and Bluetooth controllers. Those products and services are governed by their own terms, compatibility requirements, and privacy practices.
gigPrompter does not control third-party availability, performance, certification, pricing, or changes.
8. gigPrompter intellectual property
The gigPrompter name, app icon, website design, product copy, software, source materials, and original promotional assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
Press assets may be used for accurate editorial coverage of gigPrompter without altering the brand in a misleading way. Other commercial use requires written permission.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, application, conversion features, output features, documentation, and promotional materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free conversion, exact musical accuracy, compatibility with every device, or fitness for a particular performance.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, gigPrompter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost income; lost data; missed cues; performance interruption; equipment incompatibility; or claims arising from content supplied by the user.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so portions of this section may not apply.
11. Changes
These terms may be updated when the website, application, distribution method, or legal requirements change. Continued use after the effective date of revised terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
